This exhibition is the result of a photographic project commissioned by Look 07 working with eight groups and twelve artists. Each group presents what is distinctive about their experience of Manchester and has worked with photographic techniques from polaroids and pinhole cameras to digital media.

Groups like M13 in Ardwick, E2E in Longsight and Surestart in Moston have chosen to show the areas where they live. Young people from Full Circle Arts have taken photographs of the city centre, while a group of mothers from the Great Places Housing Association have represented their daily lives in Manchester. A group of asylum seekers from the Women's Electronic Hall have combined their impressions into stunning collages, while two groups of older people from The Tree of Life group in Wythenshawe and Woodville Centre in Cheetham Hill have used sequences of images to record their life experiences.
