It presents a fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into the Georgina von Etzdorf company and their products, from their famous silk scarves to their sumptuous velvet dressing gowns, worn by clients all over the world, including rock stars and royalty.
Drawn from the company’s own comprehensive archive, the exhibits include original sketches, finished artwork, experimental prototypes, and much more. Visitors can see examples of the company’s design philosophy applied to everything from their covetable scarves to limited edition furniture, jewellery and graphic design and packaging.
The exhibition follows the company’s history from its foundation by three partners in a Wiltshire barn, through its development from hand-screen printing on silks to its innovative use of creative techniques with a range of materials from paper and metal to techno fabrics and fibres.
