Opening hours

The exhibition is open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm, last entry 4pm.

We are closed Mondays except Bank Holidays, and also closed 1 January, Good Friday, 24-26 and 31 December.


Individuals: £8 (£6 concessions). Free entry for under 18s and Manchester Art Gallery Friends

Tickets are available to buy online or at the entrance to the exhibition.

Groups booking discount: For pre-booked group visits of 10 or more people, there is a discounted ticket price available.

The Manchester Town Hall murals will be open to the public especially to coincide with Ford Madox Brown: Pre-Raphaelite Pioneer. Public access will be available from 10am – 5pm* on the following Sundays throughout the exhibition:

25 September, 16 October (until 3pm)' 23 October, 30 October, 2 November, 6 November, 20 November, 4 December, 11 December, 18 December, 8 January, 15 January, 22 January, 29 January

Additional dates will be confirmed and full access details will be regularly updated on this website. There is no admission charge to visit the Great Hall.
