Ryan Gander (b. 1976, Chester) lives and works in London and Suffolk. He graduated from the B.A. Interactive Arts at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1999, the Jan van Eyck Academy, Amsterdam in 2000 and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam in 2002. Gander’s work has been shown in institutions world-wide. Recent solo exhibitions include: FRAC île-de-France / Le Plateau (2013); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012); Museo Tamayo, Mexico City (2012); and Locked Room Scenario, commissioned by Artangel, London (2012). Recent group exhibitions include: the Shanghai Biennale (2012); dOCUMENTA (13), Kassel (2012); and the Venice Biennale (2011).
