Make a sound sculpture to take home. Listen to music by the Royal Northern College of Music. Spend some time in our sound playground.

Make your own sound sculpture inspired by the shapes and sounds you find in the gallery and take part in interactive musical performances especially developed for families.

What does music look like and how does it feel? Come along to our interactive sound space and find out. There’ll be opportunities to draw, sculpt and play with sensory materials as we transform an entire room into a sound experiment.

Please note if you're bringing a group of 10-20 people, you'll need to book ahead. Unfortunately we can't accommodate groups of more than 20 in workshops. If you'd like a separate paid for session or for advice on visiting with a group in the holidays, please call Alex:
