Dr Kay Prag explores the complex political, religious and geographic history of Jerusalem in the first of our illustrated talks linked to the Holman Hunt exhibtion.

Dr. Kay Prag is an archaeologist who has worked for many years in the Near East, especially on prehistoric and historic sites in Jordan. Her Blue Guide to Israel and the Palestinian Terretories was published in 2003. She is currently based at the Manchester Museum preparing the final reports
on Kathleen Kenyon's excavations in Jerusalem.

This talk is just one of a number of talks, tours and workshops that accompany our current exhibition Holman Hunt and the Pre-Raphaelite Vision.

To find out more about Holman Hunt and Jerusalem, stay on to hear art historian Nicholas Tromans discuss the painter's experiences of the Middle East. This talk is 3 -4pm.
