Sunday 10 March 2013
3.00pm - 4.00pm

Take a tour of the gallery exhibitions and collections delivered in British Sign Language.

Inspired by the recent exhibition In Translation: Women, Migration and Britishness Empire Marketing Board Posters, 1926-1933, this tour takes a closer look at the exotic animals, tea & coffee, fruit and wood that were introduced to Britain whilst its Empire expanded. It also takes a look at the migration of labour within Victorian Britain and 18th & 19th centuries' ideas and ideals crossing the English Channel.

Jennifer gives a themed gallery tour in British Sign Language every other month on the second Sunday of the month. Each tour includes elements from our collections and temporary exhibitions.

Tours are free and Jennifer meets everyone in the atrium, next to the information desk on the ground floor. If you are late a member of our visitor services team will let you know where the tour is.
