Manchester Art Gallery is open until 9pm every Thursday evening.
This summer, Thursday Lates are inspired by our big summer exhibition and the city-wide season of music and art We Face Forward – Art from West Africa Today.
This Thursday, come and enjoy our exhibitions and displays. Meet up with friends, drop in for food and drinks, browse the galleries and shop at your leisure.
As part of the We Face Forward season, we are screening the film Elmina; artist Doug Fishbone's experimental intervention, inserting himself, a white American artist, into the lead role of a Ghanian melodrama. For more information about this project check out the trailer or visit the Tate website.
Come and join in with a We Face Forward inspired project with our group of knitters, swap stories and techniques. Bring along your own project or come and borrow some of our supplies. All skills welcome, whether beginner or expert.
Relax, unwind and take advantage of the cafe's special evening menu. Enjoy tasty nibbles such as marinated olives, bowls of chips and breads with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, as well as some delicious sharing platters.
We look forward to seeing you.
