Take a closer look at how fashion is depicted in art.

Manchester Art Gallery's collection is rich in fashion and social statement ranging from the extravagant costumes and accessories worn by the rich to the virtual rags of the poor.

On this fascinating tour, we will look at the ways in which costume has been portrayed from the 16th century to the present day and how fashion has developed into what we know today.

Led by a trained volunteer guide.

No need to book, meet your guide next to the information desk in the atrium on the ground floor.
