New from Autumn 08 Custom-made tours for community groups
We can tailor your visit to Manchester Art Gallery to suit your needs and interests. Discover the ideas and stories behind the artworks and talk about them with a friendly member of staff from our learning team. This is your gallery and you don’t need to know anything about art or have any special artistic skill to enjoy a visit. This tour is specially designed for groups that have never visited the gallery before. We can provide this tour free of charge for some Manchester based community groups. 

Inspired by… tour
Are you an art group? Are you interested in entering the Inspired by… art competition for adults? Take a tour with an artist and get your ideas going for creating art works inspired by the collections at Manchester Art Gallery. The tour will include some practical art activities in the gallery.
We can provide this tour free of charge for some Manchester based art groups.

Costs

Entry to the gallery is free

20 minute introduction  FREE, booking necessary

1 hour tour only  £3 per person, £40 minimum charge

1 hour tour with refreshments  £6 per person (minimum charge applies) Refreshments include tea, coffee with a scone or biscuits.

Confirmation of numbers are needed two weeks prior to the visit. For security reasons and for your maximum enjoyment, we recommend that you limit your group to 20 people. Larger groups can be accommodated, but may need to be split into two.
