Detail: Relaxed lunchtime session where visitors are guided in looking at and engaging with art using Mindfulness techniques. Recent studies have shown that regularly practicing Mindfulness can reduce stress, improve memory and concentration and lift your mood. Title: Turning Tides by Ad hoc dance

Detail: Ad Hoc Dance is an adult community dance group open to all, and run by artistic director and choreographer, Ruth Jones. Ad Hoc have continued their residency at Manchester Art Gallery to make a new contemporary choreography for a performance entitled, Turning Tides. This has been created in and will be performed in Gallery 4 surrounded by art works depicting the sea, in our exhibition Natural Forces. Creative choreography has been developed to create this new work to be performed in this unique setting.
