Volunteering

Volunteering with Manchester City Galleries.

We are committed to working with volunteers and we aim to provide volunteering opportunities that are interesting, engaging and rewarding.

Volunteers support the work of paid members of staff and help us to do lots more things than we would otherwise be able to do. Volunteers are very much part of our organisation and across the two venues; Manchester Art Gallery and the Gallery of Costume we work with over 80 volunteers.

Together our volunteers help us engage with visitors in the galleries, support the work of the Galleries curatorial and exhibition teams, assist the delivery of family and learning programmes and support our administrative departments.
