Description

Sleeve Ruffle; Elbow length sleeves with sewn on fitting cuff pleated at elbow and bound in white silk ribbon. Edge of purling lace gathered onto edge of sleeve. Slits in side seams of skirt and trimmed with sewn-on white silk fringe. Hem faced with pink silk.
Petticoat; Pleated on to linen tape waistband. Side slits faced with silk ribbon. Tape ties at hips. Quilted design of parallel ogee curves and border of stars, crowns, sprays and zig-zags. Hem faced with silk ribbon.
Hoop made from three elliptical cane hoops, covered in cream linen, sewn into linen petticoat. Open down back with a drawstring at the waist, which is missing. Top hoop shaped to slight V at centre front. Four strips of paddling over each hip above first hoop. Linen tape ties at back level with top and middle hoops. Back and side fronts of middle and bottom hoops connected with linen tape braces inside.
Dress made from pink silk, figured with decorated white satin stripe and sprays and trails in pink.
Bodice lined with white linen and bound in white silk ribbon. Open CF with two narrow front sections. Narrow shoulder sections. Elbow length sleeves with sewn on fitting cuff pleated at elbow and bound in white silk ribbon. Edge of purling lace gathered onto edge of sleeve. Slits in side seam of skirt and trimmed with sewn-on white silk fringe. Hem faced with pink silk.
