Dress/petticoat : Simple short sleeved white satin evening dress. Scooped lowneckline, edged with piping. Fastens CB with hooks and eyes. Natural level waist with band. Lined throughout with cotton silesia - papery texture.
Bertha : White satin neck ornament, to fit neckline of dress. Cut in four pieces, pointed at CF and on each shoulder. Lined with silesia. Silk ribbon tapes CB.
Belt : Satin band lined with fine white silk. Hooks and eyes removed.
Bodice : Back fastening, long sleeved. Low scooped eckline. CF seam piped, under a satin cased bone, whipped round with silver cord. Pointed CF at waist. Neckline, waist and bodice front trimmed with silver fringe. CB fastens with hooks and eyes. Bone similar to CF. Gigot sleeves, puffed to above elbow. Detachable lower sleeve. Lined with fine cream silesia (bodice with heavy white silesia).
NOTE - Worn several ways.
