About the work

Ted Roocroft’s entry for the 1986 "Sculpture for Peace" competition was commissioned although it was not the winner. The Concrete and limestone sculpture on a low slate plinth is a peaceful scene of grazing sheep and can be seen near the Roman Fort in Castlefield
