About the work

The Chinese Arch spanning Faulkner St in China Town is a celebration of the large Chinese community in Manchester.

The arch represents prosperity and the decorative scheme incorporates other traditional symbols and colours of prosperity and luck: red and gold, dragons and phoenixes.
