and artists Colette Gilmartin and Tony Curry
Mixed Media
This colourful banner was created
by young carers from NCH the children's charity.
They explored issues of and freedom,
inspired by discussions with an historian
about the transatlantic slave trade.
The young people worked with poet Tony Curry
to express their thoughts on slavery.
With textiles artist Colette Gilmartin,
they personalised individual letters
to turn their poem into a visual statement.
