Still Life 1918
Edward Hartley Mooney died 1938
Oil on canvas
Mooney who painted landscape, still life and portraits,
attended the Manchester School of Art,
but possibly before Valette was a teacher there.
They were friends for a while in Manchester
and Valette painted his portrait in 1916.
Their still life work was very close in style,
especially around the time this work was painted.
