Cafe Bar Cake

Take a break with a visit to our cafe.

Great tasting food begins with great ingredients, and whenever we can, we source them locally, within season. We prepare everything from scratch everyday too.

In our cafe you can choose from a selection of freshly made sandwiches and salads, home made soup, hot main courses, desserts, cakes and pastries as well as a wide range of hot and cold drinks.

Our menu has some great dishes like fish and chips and a Bury black pudding brunch, which are served daily, cooked fresh upon order and brought to your table within a short space of time.

There's also a specials menu daily, which always features one meat dish, one fish dish and one vegetarian dish all priced from £6.95.

Children's menu

Children can also enjoy the delight of freshly cooked dishes with our children's menu. This includes home made salmon fish fingers, with oven roasted chips and garden peas. All of our children's hot meals come with a complimentary drink.

Our children's lunchbox deal which includes five items for £3.95 is a great value choice too. For example, you could get a sandwich, piece of fruit, drink, something sweet and a packet of Mini Cheddars, so it's a great deal!

Locally sourced ingredients

We use local ingredients where possible, and we particularly recommend our very local sausages, from Styal Meats, based just outside Manchester city centre and our beers from our neighbours Joseph Holt.

Summer in Cumberland, James Durden, 1925

Durden was born in Manchester and studied at Manchester School of Art. He later lived in Keswick in the Lake District. This idyllic vision of the 1920s was painted from the artists house, Skiddaw Bank overlooking Derwent Water. The people in the painting are the artist’s family.
