Dark brown twilled cotton dressing or morning gown printed with pattern of trailing flowers in red-brown, cream, white and light blue, lined white twilled cotton. Turndown collar with rounded corners, seamed down centre on top side and stab stitched on underside, fronts each in one section with very set back shoulder and side seam, top front corner cut in sharp point, centre front edges faced with self fabric to level of natural side seam, double breasted fastening with six pairs of flat self-covered buttons and worked buttonholes, very deep horizontal pocket flap across each hip covering opening fastened one small button and giving access to very deep white cotton pocket, back in one main section, very narrow and shaped at top, seamed down centre as far as waist, double row of stitching across waist with button at each side, fullness opening out below waist in deep inverted pleat, extended by triangular inset in side seam, widening from nothing at waist to approximately 64 cm. at hem, sleeves each in two shaped sections, ease-gathered into shoulder and tapered to wrist, set flat into 7.75 cm. cuff, 11 cm. opening at outside edge fastened two buttons, inside breast pocket in facing of left front, all edges topstitched.
