Jacket : lined white plain weave linen; fronts each in one piece extending round to side back, round neck, anhular eight-shape outlined in narrow crimson satin and filled with puffed cream satin at right side front (missing at left), treble row of eleven cream corded silk buttons connected by cream frogged braid, middle row fastening to buttonholes on left front, three-cornered jacket flaps trimmed frogging in three vertical rows corresponding with buttons on skirt, skirts cut away at centre in inverted V shape, vent in side seams; back in two shaped sections seamed down centre back with vent at lower edge; sleeves each in two sections, vent at wrist, turnback open cuff trimmed three vertical lines frogging and three buttons; centre front edges, shirt flaps, cuffs and pocket flaps faced cream corded silk.
(Jacket very creased and dirty, bad staining and rotting at underarms especially left).
Breeches : slightly shaped waistband faced linen, fastening at front with three covered buttons, two pairs eyelet holes with cotton tape tying across linen gusset at centre back, pocket inside waistband to right of centre front, covered button at each side centre front, flap at centre, faced cream corded silk, buttoning to waist-band, pocket each side below waist, corner buttoning at back hip; ligs each in two sections seamed at inner and outer leg and centre front and back; back gathered into waistband, front trimmed three crimson and cream satin appliqued torpedo-shaped motifs; fastening with tapes at outer knee over triangular silk gusset, joined flat to knee-band; cream satin rosette at left knee.
