Bright red cotton muslin (Robia Voile, made by Tootal) over red cotton (poplin).
Straight top edge of vertically boned bodice rising in front. Optional halter strap attached inside CF neck. Tight skirt, with overskirt forming a rounded apron. Bodice skirt and overskirt lining entirely covered with muslin arranged in folds, tight and horizontal on bodice, falling in curves on skirt and overskirt. CB fastening with zip. Long scarf ends attached each side CB opening at top, to form train or stole.

Shown at fashion parade ("Britain's Couture Cottons for 1958" staged at the Hyde Park Hotel, London, 25 June 1957)
Desses moved from his Av Matingan premises in 1958 to ones at 12 Rond Point des Champs Elysees. He closed his couture house in 1968, and died in 1970.
This was a model gown in 'mousseline' from the year before - see Femme Chic, Ete 1956, p.118.
