Ankle-length sheath dress in white cotton lace, sashed with white silk, with matching full-length short sleeved coat. Outlined in white rayon Bourdon cord
DRESS bodice with low wide square neck and deep square cut armholes; bodice in one section, shaped with 2 front darts, the stitching line disguised in the pattern of the lace, and dart at R side, fastening with zip on left, opening and zip continuing into lining below waist; bodice lined white silk and net, fastening separately on L with hooks and eyes; skirt in one section with wrapover front, front edges curved; waist seam open from L side seam of bodice to L front of skirt, zip down L front of skirt to below hip; cummerbund belt of pleated bias cut white silk, with stiff constructed bow with long sash ends that fastens with hooks at L waist, a fold of the white lace skirt front wrapping over bow; separate fitted rayon crepe sheath underdress.
COAT with high round neck, collarless; fronts meeting edge to edge without fastenings; narrow fronts each cut in one section together with short sleeves, bust darts; narrow back ditto; complex gussets inserted underarms; false pocket flaps applied side front each side at hip level; coat fully lined with white silk as used in sash.
Label in coat : "Made in England / Hardy Amies / 14, Saville Row, london, W.1."
