Description

Bright yellow-green (lime) cotton woven with small lozenge pattern (pique). Lined with white rayon crepe.
Jacket : Double breasted. Fastening with two pairs of buttons to V neck with turndown collar and revers. Pocket on hip each side of front. Padded shoulders. three quarter sleeves with turn back cuffs. Padded hips.
Skirt : Left section overlapping the right, seam open at the base. Left side fastening below waist with zip, inside corded ribbon waistband fastening with hooks and eyes.
Exhibited at a parade "Cotton in Fashion 1951" held at the Dorchester Hotel, London, during London Fashion Fortnight.
