White cotton, printed in yellow, red and deep puce with large pattern of purses, horns and other motifs in large irregulary shaped compartments divided by dark puce lines. Geometrical border pattern. African export cotton, design incorporates combs etc.
CF fastening with buttons to V neck with sewn-on collar and revers. Elbow length sleeves with printed border as cuff fastening. Skirt has material arranged so that the pattern is symmetrical about the seams. Printed border sewn on to hem edge. LS seam open at waist and fastening with buttons. Separate wide sash made from printed border.
