bodice fastening CB with double drawstring round neck and button at waist, two tapes inside (one missing). Wide embroidered panel down centre between two lines of drawn-thread work, embroidery of cotton in chikan stitch and knots in scrolls and plume design. Elbow length sleeves with two insertions of embroidery in leaf pattern. Drawn-thread work edging round neck. Skirt with slight train, open at top. Embroidered panel from bodice extending down CF of skirt to hem. Embroidered sections worked on a different muslin, this was probably done for economy, the dress would have been cheaper.
