Description

Pair of cream silk satin sleeves with applied raised work embroidery in gold thread and coloured silks, cut in two sections, top edge bound. Elbow length shaped in two separate sections, ends shaped and slit to form falling cuff, edged with silver gilt bobbin lace embroidery worked on linen, of flowers (pansies, Tudor roses), and fruit in circling vine stems, in chain, braid, plaited braid and laid stitches, cut and applied to silk background.
