Two piece dress and coat suit made of ivory thick acrylic gaberdine, with horizontal stripes in light, mid and dark blue.
Dress : High waist seam, with plain ivory above and stripes below. Short sleeves, plain round collarless neck and double breasted effect given by two rows of two dull white plastic buttons. CB seam double over-stitched with a 20inch zip. Lined in white acetate.
Coat : Double breasted fastening with two rows of four white plastic buttons in deep concave circles. The body of the coat is printed in stripes of ivory and blue whilst the sleeves, collar and front flaps are plain ivory. Rounded turn-down collar. Full length sleeves ending in crossing straps decorated with a single button - as are the mock flaps. Lined with ivory silk.

Born in 1933, Emanuel Ungaro worked at Balenciaga (1958-61) and Courreges (1961-5) before opening his own house in 1965.In 1968, he created his first Prêt-à-Porter collection, Parallèle and opened a boutique at 2, avenue Montaigne in Paris.
