Dress made of a fine white striped muslin, printed with vertical stripes of small flowers in Paisley/Oriental strapwork and foliate cartouches. Colours being, mauve, green, yellow, pink, red, blue and black. The bodice has a back fastening with brass hooks and eyes. Low elliptical neckline. Sleeves are of Marino Faliero form, the upper part very full, gathered at shoulder. (This fullness has been caught up into a piped band, with a curved falling frill (an alteration which could have been made quite simply in the late 1830's) Waistband in 3.5cm. Skirt has pocket hole in right hand seam. Bodice lined with cotton.
