MAde of white cotton; open centre front, fastening with four covered buttons and buttonholes; rounded neck dropping to V-shape at centre front with drawstring, edged with feather stitching and openwork border; deep yoke on fronts of alternate insertions of openwork embroidery edged with feather stitching, and Torchon lace, two rows of feather stitching underneath; short sleeves edged with feather stitching and openwork embroidery; front bodice shaped with darts and cut in one with legs, back bodice in two sections to waist; legs with inner seam in lower half, open upper half, gathered into waist at back and at base into narrow feather stitched band, with deep band of insertions of openwork and Torchon lace edged with feather stitching, deep flounce of openwork embroidery over flounce of cotton edged with feather stitching and Torchon lace. Inscribed inside opening - "F Rose"
