White silk over wire foundation. Rounded crown over stiffened foundation and stiffened muslin lining, puffed over wire and gathered vertically over two triple rows of wire; crown trimmed with satin ribbon bows and scalloped trimming of white silk, piped at edges; frill down right side of crown bound at edge; wide rounded brim, to curve forward slightly over face, edge gathered over five rows of wire; bound frill round back of neck, pale mauve silk ribbon ties.
