White cotton, lined with white cotton, slightly stiffened and quilted in small lozenge design; bound with white tape in herringbone weave; in one straight section, open at centre back; neck low and slightly curved at front, higher at back, shaped for arms; tape shoulder straps; lower edge shaped to form slightly pointed waist back and front; centre back edged with white cotton; fastens at centre back with three pairs of tape ties; two linen-covered buttons towards bottom at centre front, one each side, two at back at right edge.
