Yellow satin over fawn corded silk, top edge bound with yellow satin ribbon; fronts each in one shaped section with two gussets for bust and one for hip, and two close vertical groups of three bones each side of front; front fastening with five metal catches; kid-covered steel bones at each edge curving in at bottom; pointed waistline; back in one shaped section each side with two broader vertical bones each side and two diagonal bones with seventeen metal eyelet holes at each centre back edge for lacing, laced with three cream silk braid laces; large downward-pointing hook at waist at centre front and at each side; ends of bones secured with yellow silk stitching; white plush strip inside left front edge; top edge trimmed white bobbin lace (Maltese); bottom edge trimmed yellow plush. Hooks probably attached to bodice, to prevent it riding up.
