Printed silk in oranges, pinks, greys and black. Long-sleeved cocktail dress with round neck. Bodice, to waist, is constructed from a large-scale print of concentric circles on a criss-crossed geometric ground with bands of orange, black and white at the cuffs, waist and neck. Pattern signed "Emilio" in many places.
Bodice cut with side seams; vertical bust darts; vertical waist darts (to fit) either side centre back, and centre back zip (running 52 cm to below waist).
Skirt is gathered into waist seam all round and has seams at sides and centre back. The pattern is in a smaller scale than the bodice but otherwise similar. Hem of horizonal orange, white and black stripes and turned up (by hand) 4 cm. Narrow white Petersham waistband. Unlined.
