Description

Pale greenish-blue wool princess-line dress, trimmed with pale blue satin and hand embroidered in coloured silks with a trailing design of lilies and foliage.

Lined with white twilled cotton, the dress features a curved standing collar of pale blue satin with a narrow double pleated net frill inside. It fastens centre front to the lower hip with one hook and loop at the collar and 14 pale blue buttons with satin rims and corded silk centres. The three-quarter length sleeves are trimmed with a band of flower-embroidered satin and a double frill of pleated wool with a lace frill showing beneath. The skirt is cut in several layers and features a curved train, which is stiffened with muslin in various places.
