Description

Red gauze figured with a pineapple design in gold, over an attached cream satin underdress. Bodice features a wide, shallow rounded neckline, edged with a piped crimson satin band. It is padded with red silk and cross-over gauze front panels are gathered to centre front waist. Lower half of front seams are boned; fastens at bodice back with drawstring at neck and hooks and loops. The short, full sleeves are lined with red silk. Skirt, in 4 widths, is gathered to waistband.

The cream satin underdress is lined with white linen and cotton and features a wide shallow rounded neck, short, very full sleeves and padded hem.
