English Corner at Gallery of Costume

It's great to see local people dropping into the Gallery of Costume and getting involved in events and projects.

Since the Gallery of Costume re-opened in March 2010 we've seen lots of people getting stuck in including families, schools and colleges, young people, students, adult learner groups, retired people, older residents and community groups.

We've also taken fashion on the road to places like Trinity House Community Centre, Cheshire Gardens Housing and Manchester Mega Mela.

Local people bring the Gallery of Costume to life.  Sharing people's stories, thoughts and ideas about the Gallery's collections and history makes the Gallery a more exciting place for everyone.

Keep an eye on this website and our events pages for what's going on here and at Manchester Art Gallery.  We also advertise Gallery of Costume events on the boards around Platt Fields Park, in libraries in Fallowfield and Withington and in community centres.

For more information or to find out how you can get involved contact Kate Day the Gallery of Costume's Community Development Officer.
