Extend the power of art in Manchester
Every hour that we are open, Manchester Art Gallery needs to raise £393 to supplement its budget from Manchester City Council. Your Friends’ subscription goes towards this.
Conservation
Friends subscriptions help to conserve art and buy new works for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
Family workshops
You’ll be enabling us to keep our family workshops free, so that income is no barrier to exploring life and being creative.
Reaching out
Subscriptions help us to take art out into different communities and reach people who might not otherwise come to a gallery.
Education
Art is a powerful tool. A project with Manchester primary school children has seen their writing improve dramatically – achieving 35% greater progress than nationally set targets.

Friends subscriptions are received by Manchester Art Gallery Trust. The Trust is the working name of Manchester City Galleries Trust, an independent charity that fundraises to support the good work of Manchester City Galleries.
