Far, Far Away: a world of stories for families

Don't miss our BIGGEST family summer ever. We're giving over 587 square meters (6,288 square feet) of gallery space to this year's family activities!
First explore some of the paintings in the gallery to discover stories of enchantment, princesses, knights and…sheep! Then go up, up, up to the top floor and our ENORMOUS story workshop space, Far, Far Away.
Artists will be waiting there to meet you every Tuesday–Sunday, 1–3pm. Work together on story-inspired art activities. Who is in your story? What happens? Where does it take place? Create characters and costumes. Explore and make imaginary landscapes. Make a film of your story and project it onto the gallery walls.
There are fun thing to do for families with children aged 0–11, with special creative sensory play activities for babies and toddlers.
You can also bring your stories to life at one of our dance or drama performance workshops, designed for families to do together. Don’t worry if you have two left feet or you’re never going to win an Oscar – it’s not about technique, it’s about sharing stories.
