What is Inspired by...?

Inspired by... is the V&A's national annual art competition celebrating Adult Learners' Week. It takes place at Manchester Art Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and other venues across the country.

It is open to all adults, apart from professional artists or students on art degree courses. It is about creating an art work inspired by an art work in Manchester Art Gallery's permanent collection or inspired by the architecture of Manchester Art Gallery.

The theme of this year's competition is Manchester.

The deadline for this year's competition is Monday 19th March 2012
