What is Inspired by...?

Inspired by... is the V&A's national annual art competition celebrating Adult Learners' Week. It takes place at Manchester Art Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and Tyne & Wear Museums, Newcastle upon Tyne.

It is aimed at encouraging adults to visit and take inspiration from works of art in museums and galleries in order to create their own artwork inspired by the collections.

Ten winners and ten runners up will be announced in Manchester and a selection of the works will be displayed at Manchester Art Gallery.

The exhibition will run from  15 May to 18 July 2010.

To apply to enter on your own or with your group please download the application form and the competition information or collect copies from the information desk at Manchester Art Gallery.
