Would you like to make an exciting, creative visit to the gallery?

Will this be your first ever visit to this venue?

We have lots of help, suggestions and advice that will enable you to plan and enjoy your visit.

Choose a workshop from our innovative programme of gallery and studio experiences for children in Early Years and in the Foundation Stage. They are inspired by the work of Reggio Emilia and are linked to the Early Learning Goals for Creative Development.

The children are encouraged to engage through various activities, which include, play, dancing, singing, speaking, drawing, painting, empathy, making rhythms and lots more.

Feedback from visiting schools showed how the children, and all accompanying adults, increased their practical art skills, confidence and self esteem as a result of visiting the gallery.

All the sessions are led by gallery educators. They include an introduction in the studio, a tour of the gallery, and a practical activity on returning to the studio. They can last from 1 hour to 1 hour 45 minutes, which can include a break for refreshments if required.
