A retrospective of work by the Vietnam-based artist Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba is to be shown at Manchester Art Gallery from 23 February to 1 June 2008. Drawing together an outstanding selection of the artist’s work, the show will include his internationally acclaimed underwater films and will also feature a new film, The Ground, The Root, and the Air: The Passing of the Bodhi Tree and a specially commissioned new installation, The Globe Project: The Garden of Globes. The exhibition will be Nguyen-Hatsushiba’s first major UK exhibition.

23 September - 12 November 2006. Free admission. A career retrospective of the work of Swiss born René Burri, one of the world’s greatest living photographers. From his famous portraits of Che Guevara and Pablo Picasso to his iconic pictures of Sao Paolo and Brasilia, his work captures almost all the major political, historical and cultural events and key figures of the second half of the 20th century.
23 September - 12 November 2006. Free admission. This exhibition celebrates 25 years of textiles by Georgina von Etzdorf, one the most influential British design labels at work in the international fashion industry.
